Anatomy for the FRCA

March 20, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Anatomy is a subject that FRCA candidates with a certain dread.  Questions occur in all parts of the Primary or Final exams.  Many leave it for last minute cramming, and superficial knowledge soon spirals to awkward silence in the exam room!

‘Anatomy for the FRCA’ is a one day, high quality course of anatomy teaching designed to best prepare candidates for the FRCA.  You will receive focused teaching on specific areas relevant to anaesthesia, using prosections and models.  Pre-course written questions are issued, then reviewed on the day followed by an OSCE and SOEs.  Sonoanatomy for regional anaethesia is also reviewed in a live scanning session.

The course is exam-orientated, but delivered in a non-threatening environment where learning is the key and candidates at any stage of preparation for the Primary or Final FRCA are encouraged to attend.

It is held in the Anatomy Department in St Andrews University School of Medicine and delivered by a faculty of experienced anaesthetists and anatomists.
